• The Second Member-At-Large shall act as chair to the Distinguished Service Award Committee and shall forward such Committee recommendations and actions to the AHENJ Board of Directors for approval.
• Distinguished Service Award Committee. 
  -The purpose of the Distinguished Service Award Committee is to confer an annual distinguished service award to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the healthcare field. 
  -It shall be responsible for determining eligibility requirements and nomination and award processes and for handling any other such activities as may be necessary to confer the award.
• The Second Member at Large maintains the AHENJ Signs and easels, and brings or arranges them to be present at all AHENJ Functions.
• The Second Member-At-Large shall also perform other duties as may be assigned by the President or AHENJ Board of Directors.
• Meets with incoming Second Member at Large in July to transition role.
