• The First Member-At-Large shall act as chair to the Scholarship Committee and shall forward such Committee recommendations and actions to the AHENJ Board of Directors for approval.
  -The purpose of the Scholarship Committee is to provide an annual scholarship for students entered into a college/university program in healthcare administration.
  -It shall be responsible for determining eligibility requirements, application and award processes and award limitations and for making any such arrangements as may be necessary to award the scholarship.
• The First Member-At-Large shall act as chair to the Wishes Come True Committee and shall forward such Committee recommendations and actions to the AHENJ Board of Directors for approval.  
  -The First Member at Large coordinates the distribution of Wishes Come True Awards
• The First Member at Large assists the Membership Chair at the Registration area for all AHENJ Functions.
• The First Member-At-Large shall also perform other duties as may be assigned by the President or AHENJ Board of Directors.
• Meets with incoming First Member at Large in July to transition role.
