ACHE-NJ Annual Meeting

Greetings ACHE Members!! 

The Annual Meeting of ACHE-NJ was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at The Chart House, Lincoln Harbor, Pier D-T, Weehawken, NJ. The event started with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner, recognition of our distinguished service award recipient and our guest speaker. 

We were  honored to have Gary Carter, FACHE as our Distinguished Service Award recipient for 2008. Mr. Carter is the outgoing President and CEO of the Princeton-based New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA), where he has led the healthcare advocacy group since 1993. Recognized as a leader who builds consensus and cooperation, he has been working in New Jersey to improve hospital-physician relations and foster member advocacy on such issues as charity care funding, certificate of need reform and the needs of specialty hospitals.  

In addition to our Distinguished Service Award, we presented the following educational session: 

Education Topic: "The Patient-Centric Web". 

ACHE-NJ was excited to have as our keynote speaker Mr. Ben Dillon, Vice President and Corporate Evangelist for Geonetric; an innovative health care Web development company located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
