Chapter Management and Awards Program
The purpose of the ACHE Chapter Management and Awards Program is to ensure the consistent delivery of quality services to ACHE affiliates by ACHE chapters. The awards and recognition system is designed to acknowledge superior chapter performance based on objectively measured results.

Award of Chapter Merit
Congratulations to you, the ACHE-NJ’s board members and committee volunteers, for earning ACHE’s Award of Chapter Merit by achieving one of the three award performance standards.

ACHE Recognition Program
The ACHE Recognition Program celebrates affiliates’ commitment to the healthcare management profession. Recognition is bestowed at three levels, based on a range of specific volunteer activities that demonstrate leadership and contributions to furthering professional excellence. All active ACHE affiliates are eligible to be recognized.

ACHE Recognition Program Individual Awards

Congratulations also go out to our chapter members who have earned the ACHE Service Award for their volunteer activities on behalf of the chapter, the hospital association and ACHE. These awards were presented during the annual Regent’s Breakfast at the Hyatt Regency, Princeton, NJ on January 16, 2009. Following are the names of our ACHE-NJ Members who received this award:

Regent’s Awards

Call for Nominations- 2010 NJ Regent’s Awards
I invite you to recognize the accomplishments of 2 ACHE affiliates and 1 individual who has contributed to NJ healthcare leadership, but is not eligible for ACHE membership, by submitting nominations for the Senior Healthcare Executive, Early Careerist, and Other Outstanding Leadership awards to be presented at the NJ ACHE Breakfast scheduled for 8am, January 22, 2010, prior to the annual NJ Hospital Association meeting- Hyatt Regency, Princeton. (More information on the award criteria and nomination submission procedure, due by December 1, 2009)

During the Regent’s Breakfast on January 16, 2009, Terry Cahill, PhD, FACHE, presented the following awards to 2 of our members.

Distinguished Service Award

Each year, the ACHE-NJ recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution or had an impact on healthcare in New Jersey and the field of healthcare in general. The award is is presented at the Annual Meeting of the ACHE-NJ in June.

Consideration for the award is based on the following criteria:

Individuals Eligible for the Award: Educators, healthcare administrators, researchers, clinicians (including physicians, nurses, etc.), business leaders, community volunteers or legislators. Individuals may receive the award posthumously. The recipient does not need to be a member of ACHE-NJ.

Personal Qualities of Eligible Individuals: Innovator, altruistic, change agent, creative, visionary, insightful.

Performance Criteria: Enhance or improve health care services, healthcare delivery, healthcare quality, healthcare education, healthcare professionalism or the quality of community life.
